A new look

Well, panic is starting to set in as leaving for New Jersey is getting closer! My mind is just strarting to run with all the millions of things that need to get done like making food for the guys, cleaning, packing, writing out the boys schedule, etc. And I'm still really nervous about leaving the boys...especially Caleb. He's just so little. But at the same time I'm really excited about getting away to see my Grand Forks sisters. What awesome husbands we have to let the four of us go on a five day girls retreat. I'm just floored by their love and support. I'm so excited about the spiritual renewal and refreshment that is always there when the four of us get together...and of course absolutly crazy fun as well! I just can't thank Matt enough...so Darling, if you ever ready this, I think you are the most amazing husband, more then I ever dreamed or desired. I am in awe of your love. Thank you.
So in anticipation of this trip I got my hair done. This was also my mom's birthday gift to me. Thanks mom! It's alot blonder and alot shorter then I was anticipating since I was just going in for highlights and a trim, but I'm starting to adjust. I don't know if you can tell in the pictures but it's alot different then before.
With the trip only two days away, I may or may not get on here to blog again, but know that I will fill you in on the details and pictures as soon as I get back. When you think of it please keep the boys...all three of them, in your prayers! Thanks! Jesus loves you!

Weekend update

So I've officially become obsessed with running. :) Matt had to leave for work by 6 a.m. this morning. Which meant if I wanted to run I had to leave at 5 a.m....up until this point I've kept myself from running before 5:45 but today I gave in and ran at 5. Crazy, I know. It was actually a really good run except for that fact that it was really dark. :) And I made it home by 6 so Matt could leave, and then I thought great I'll have all this time this morning to get some stuff done, but by the time I got my shower and had my devotions, I was just sitting down to get on the comptuer and Kaden got up! Ahhh...I love how my plans never work out! :) Keeps my eyes focused on the Lord and realizing I'm not in control...probably a good thing for all involved! :)
Anyways, we had an awesome birthday/Father's day weekend. Matt took me to the local Hampton Inn for the night and it was so much fun just to get away and watch cable (We don't have cable at home!) spend some time together, and sleep in...until 9:30! Ok I know 9:30 isn't that late but compared to 5 it was awesome! And Jeremy did awesome with the boys over night, I'm so proud of him! Thanks J! Other then that we just spent Sunday with the family which is always so much fun. Oh, and My sweet husband bought me an ipod for my birthday but my brothers have had to put the music on it for me and today they're going to come over and teach me how to turn it on! :)
And now we're into another week which seems to be filling up fast...in fact we were watching a family of five today so maybe we'll get some good pictures. Hope you all have a good day...and I'lll let you know what time my energy runs out today...this may be a two cups of coffee day!

My climber

Just a few pictures of Caleb climbing into the dishwasher! :) Kaden was never much of a climber so this is all new territory for me. Probably not the safest thing to climb into but it was preety cute so we took a picture and then moved him! Before the picture he was all the way up inside.

The exciting news for tonight is that Matt is taking me away for the night so that I can sleep in, in the morning! What an awesome birthday present! :) We still have to wake up for church, but it'll still be later then normal! Thanks to Jenny and Jeremy for babysitting! (They're swapping out, not at the same time! :)

Fun with bowls

Well we've survived another day of VBS! :) Actually we've done more then survived. We've enjoyed. Thanks for all the prayers! They have been felt and they are helping. When we got home today the boys were playing in the kitchen while I got lunch, they love to get out my metal bowls and bang them around. They were so cute cause they were putting them over their faces at the same time...course they wouldn't do it so I could get a picture but you get the general idea! :) Hope you all are having a good Tuesday as well. Jesus loves you.

Half-marathon...boy am I tired!

Well, it's official, I'm crazy. Not only did we run 13.1 miles on Saturday we did it in pouring rain, thunder, and lightening...yes, I know not the brightest of things to do, but by the time it started pouring we were like 5 or 6 miles into the run and we didn't see the lightnening until we were about two miles from finishing (and it wasn't high in the sky lightening either, it was hitting the ground scary lightening!) So we just kept going and finished in 2 hours 19 min and 30 somthing seconds! Not bad for the conditions! :) So that was an awesome way to start Saturday. But I've been really tired (and grumpy) since...poor Matt! :) I'm hoping to get caught up on my sleep tonight since tomorrow VBS starts and right now that seems very overwelming! :) Pray that I'll have the right heart and be relying on God's strength not my own. It does seem like that is a good lesson He's trying to teach right now. I can't do it on my own, I need Him to carry me through...Wish I was a faster learner and didn't always have to figure things out the hard way! :) Thanks in advance for the prayers!
PS. congrats to Joanie and Jody on their tri training! Way to go!!!

Just saying hello

Just thought I would say hello. It's a quiet Friday afternoon and the boys are down for their nap...I love nap time. Tonight is Biblestudy so I'll be busy again soon enough. Tomorrow my running partner and I are goint to attempt to run a half-marathon! I'm so excited! Weird to be excited to run 13 miles but whatever! :) I'll let you know how it goes.
Sunday I plan to be at church most of the day setting up for VBS and then Monday VBS starts so next week we'll be super busy and I'm sure by Friday the boys will never want to go to church again. Pray for us when we come to mind!
Other then that not to much going on in south Texas. The sun is finally peeking out from the grey skies so that makes me happy. Hope it's sunny where you are too! Jesus loves you.

10 months and walking!!!

Caleb is 10 months old and has entered into the world of toddlers. Well, to be fair he's still not doing much walking of his own accord but he will walk between mommy and daddy and from the table to the couch. It's still a little scary for him to let go of our fingers, he likes to lean against you so that you won't let him go, but once he's standing he does great. I'm just waiting for the day he realizes he can take off...life will never be the same!
