Introducing...

The greatest Rock band EVER! Ok so we've got some work to do but I'm pretty stoked for the next generation of sibling rock. A mix between the Van Trapp Family Singers and the Jonas brothers. :) Well, maybe not the Jonas brothers, but you get the idea. Kaden is stellar on the drums, Caleb is an accomplished song writer, and Kensie...well her talent is still to be determined, but I'm pretty sure we'll be signing contracts with in the next year or two. :)
Hope everyone has a blessed week. Jesus loves you.

So not a great picture (This is the best you get when you're taking a picture with one hand and talking to the relator on the phone with the other hand! :) but our only documented evidence of Kensie on the move! She does a mean backward shuffle. She scoots backwards very quickly but the down side of going backwards is not being able to see where you are going...hence why she ends up under her chair! :) No matter how many toys we put IN FRONT of her, she still goes backwards. :) She also manages to scoot on her bottom toward things. I've never seen her do this, but I'll sit her one place and find her across the floor getting into something else. So unless she's getting up and walking when I'm not looking, I'm guessing it's some sort of bottom shuffle! All to say, it won't be long before we're chasing three kids around and my home will echo with sounds of, " MOM!!!! Kensie's touching my stuff!" :)

One Word

HOUSE HUNTING...ok so technically that's two words. :)

Yep that pretty much sums up the last few days. So blessed that God has provided for us the means to do it and looking forward to seeing how God will use our new home (when we find one) to bless others. We really want this to be about ministry and using it for God's glory. Although, I must say we checked out the 1 .5 Million dollar homes in Colorado Springs just for kicks and they were pretty sweet....I'm sure I could justify some sort of ministry in one of those. :)

Recap

Jennie's first stop at the Winchester Mystery House
Making tough guy faces on the rocks
Not so tuff feeding the squirrels
I love Caleb's face in this one...I'm pretty sure he though that squirrel was going to bite his finger. :)
Chilling on the beach
Yes we really did dress our children in Hawaiian outfits and parade them around town! :)
My favorite ocean color
I am so in love with this blue eyed baby girl
Enjoying the sunset...despite the clouds
Candace on Canary Row
We are soaking up every single bit of the ocean we can before we head to the mountains
Whale watching! That's the tail of a grey whale
Candace on the ocean!

Just a quick recap of the last two weeks. We were so blessed to have two of our Del Rio Girls come stay with us. It means SO much to our hearts to have our kids come home! We had a great week, first with Jennie showing her our California for the 3 time and then getting to introduce Candace to the wonder that is the California coast line! We are absorbing every minute of the beach and Monterey that we can before April. If I had my way I'd be at the beach every day just in awe. I loved having the girls here as an excuse to skip housework and head out! But alas, it's back to "normal" well...moving normal. We have a lot to do and plan for before the beginning of April...but there' s still time to visit if you get the chance! We'd love to have you....means more time at the beach for us! :)

Stealing this from my Sweet Friend Jody, but it's so great:
Live your life in such a way
that when your feet
hit the floor in the morning,
Satan shudders and says,
“Oh no, she's awake.”

Southern California Part 1

Christmas lights with the cousins
The Van Hook boys and a Princess at the big Van Hook Christmas Eve party (Caleb played with that old school Little People School all night!)
Kensington with Great Grandma Dorise
Caleb's gift Christmas morning was his very own keyboard. He rocks on that thing...imagine a little Steve Wonder!
Kaden modeling the reindeer ears with the wizard hat. Gets his fashion sense from his mommy.
Kensie and her Aunt Linda. Two beautiful girls
I just love her in her Christmas dress
Opening presents with Daddy
Kensington with Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Heller

We were so blessed to get to spend Christmas with Matt's family and especially to get to spend time with the great Grandparents. We are so thankful to have a family that loves us so much! We miss and love everyone already.
