Well, Kaden's third birthday was awesome! It started at 6:45 when I heard a very loud voice saying, "Is it my Birthday yet?!" I told him yes, but he had to go back to sleep! He did sleep until 7:30 and from then on it was non-stop birthday! Kaden woke up to see the house decorated in Superman! Just like in the book (the birthday party magazine) and was so excited...but more excited by the three little presents he got to open before church! We went to church where Kaden got to announce that today was his birthday, and then as soon as church was over it was time for the party. We had seven kids (including Kaden) and about twelve adults. The kids loved playing in Kaden's room and surprisingly there was very little crying! Then we did pizza (we ordered nine...and had about five left over! Matt and I aren't very good at estimating those things!). After pizza the kids played again while Matt figured out hot to rig the Pinata in the garage...yes, it's a superman pinata, and yes it is very very very ugly! Oh well, that's why you get to smash it. My pinata story is this, I thought the whole thing was hollow, so I bought a tun of candy....come to find out only the head is hollow which is fine because I'll just take some candy back. But Jeremy and I fill the head with as much candy as possivle and now the thing is so heavy we can barely lift it! Needless to say, there was a lot of candy for only seven kids! :) The kids did a great job trying to smash the pinata but eventually we had to let Matt whack it until it broke open! And actually it was kinda scary watching Matt whack that thing! :)
After, pinata we did presents(which Kaden said was his favorite part!) You'll notice Kaden sporting his new Superman Outfit...he;s only been asking for that for four months! and then we had cake and ice cream. (Kaden was so cute this morning thinking back over his party, he said, "And mom, they all sang for me!") That pretty much concluded the party.
But then it was off to church again, and then back home for one more present...the Cars movie...which he got to stay up and watch ....so he wasn't in bed until 10! It was a very long day but a very good day and Kaden loved every minute of it. Sure wish you all could have come! But we hope you enjoy the pictures. We just want you all to know how blessed we feel to have you all be a part of our lives and to watch our family grow. We love you. But most importantly Jesus loves you!
