Christmas Come Early on Sunday

We celebrated Christmas on Sunday since we're leaving tomorrow (Tuesday) for vacation. So Merry Christmas to all of you who have celebrated, are currently celebrating, or will be celebrating on the 25th! I am again filled with awe that the God of the universe loved us enough to send us His son...especially after having sons, to give them up for a world that hates you and scorns you...and yet He loves us...amazing! Thank you Lord!
Here's a few pictures of our Christmas...and when we get back we'll have more pictures of more Christmas. Jesus loves you!

Fun with Toys

I snapped a couple of pictures of the boys playing with their toys the other day. Kaden, as you can tell, has found a way to mix his two loves, Superman and Thomas the train. We put the Superman outfit on at least once a day, I just love watching him in it. He acts so macho and strong! He's always rescuing me. My hero! And this is Caleb's first time in the exerscaucer...cause I needed one more baby thing to take up space in the house! :) But he was getting bored with some of his other toys, so this adds some variety to his life. He really likes the giraffe!
And update on me, I went back to the doctor and the test results are inconclusive. Basically, one says yes there's something and the other said no so they cancelled each other out. So now they are referring me to a stomach specialist (probably in San Antonio) but not until after the holidays. Praise the Lord, I haven't been sick in over a week...so maybe it's going away. So the plan is not to go to another doctor unless I get sick again in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for all your prayers!
We are leaving for vacation on the 19th and will be without computer access for nearly the whole time ( we get back on the 29th). I know it will be devestaing not to hear from me for so long, but I promise to write when I get back! :)

Christmas card rejects

We're having a fairly "normal" day here in South Texas... getting the cleaning done, doing some Christmas baking, holding a fussy Caleb on my lap while tryib to type...he'd be so much happier if he would nap! So anyway thought I'd put up the pictures we didn't use for our cards. Some turned out a little cuter then the one we picked, but they were a bit blurry. Oh well at least we got them done and they'll be on their way as soon as we're done addressing them!

Couch Potatos

Well, I hope that all of you had a good weekend. We did, and it consisted mainly of wearing pajamas and staying inside! But in our defense, we weren't feeling the best, and it was cold outside...all good reasons to stay in and be comfortable! I love these pictures of the boys watching Baby Einstein...well Kaden watched and Caleb sat there for about 30 seconds. I just love the blank expression on their faces! :) Actually, one difference I'm beginning to notice between the boys as little Caleb emerges is that Kaden can sit still for HOURS and watch TV, the rest of the world ceases to exist, but Caleb is good for about 30 seconds and never wants to sit still...we may have a mover and shaker on our hands!

Just to chat

Just wanted to write and say hello to everyone. I was sick again yesterday (still no news on test results) so I feel a day behind on everything! I hate that feeling! And since you all know how type A I am I'm sure you can appreciate my frustration! :) Matt is leaving as well this weekend for a cross country trip, but the boys and I have plans to keep us busy. It's funny how sad I get over him going away for three days when he used to go for three months! I guess that's a good sign though! As I type, I have a four month old trying to type with me, he's also into trying to drink out of my cup and eat my food...but I'm not willing to start solids quite yet...maybe after Christmas vacation...ok Caleb pushed a button that made the underlining come on...and I don't know how to get it off... so bear with me! :) But lest you think that I'm straving my child we had our four month check up today. Caleb is average for weight, weighing in at 15lbs 2oz but is in the 95% for his height! He's already 27 ins long. Must get it from my brothers! Speaking of brothers...It's almost time to go wake Caleb's brother up from his nap...so he'll go to bed later...don't you love the way mothers thinks...wake them up so they'll sleep! :) Hope everyone's having a good day. Love you!

More Birthday Superman Pictures

Ok here's a few more...

SUPERMAN!!!

Well, Kaden's third birthday was awesome! It started at 6:45 when I heard a very loud voice saying, "Is it my Birthday yet?!" I told him yes, but he had to go back to sleep! He did sleep until 7:30 and from then on it was non-stop birthday! Kaden woke up to see the house decorated in Superman! Just like in the book (the birthday party magazine) and was so excited...but more excited by the three little presents he got to open before church! We went to church where Kaden got to announce that today was his birthday, and then as soon as church was over it was time for the party. We had seven kids (including Kaden) and about twelve adults. The kids loved playing in Kaden's room and surprisingly there was very little crying! Then we did pizza (we ordered nine...and had about five left over! Matt and I aren't very good at estimating those things!). After pizza the kids played again while Matt figured out hot to rig the Pinata in the garage...yes, it's a superman pinata, and yes it is very very very ugly! Oh well, that's why you get to smash it. My pinata story is this, I thought the whole thing was hollow, so I bought a tun of candy....come to find out only the head is hollow which is fine because I'll just take some candy back. But Jeremy and I fill the head with as much candy as possivle and now the thing is so heavy we can barely lift it! Needless to say, there was a lot of candy for only seven kids! :) The kids did a great job trying to smash the pinata but eventually we had to let Matt whack it until it broke open! And actually it was kinda scary watching Matt whack that thing! :)
After, pinata we did presents(which Kaden said was his favorite part!) You'll notice Kaden sporting his new Superman Outfit...he;s only been asking for that for four months! and then we had cake and ice cream. (Kaden was so cute this morning thinking back over his party, he said, "And mom, they all sang for me!") That pretty much concluded the party.
But then it was off to church again, and then back home for one more present...the Cars movie...which he got to stay up and watch ....so he wasn't in bed until 10! It was a very long day but a very good day and Kaden loved every minute of it. Sure wish you all could have come! But we hope you enjoy the pictures. We just want you all to know how blessed we feel to have you all be a part of our lives and to watch our family grow. We love you. But most importantly Jesus loves you!

Caleb's Dedication

Sunday was a big day for us, as it was Kaden's birthday and Caleb's dedication...so thought I'd better keep the pictures seperate, although I'm sure you all can figure out what's what on your own! :)
It was a neat dedication service, and I feel so blessed because my dad has been able to lead both dedication services for the boys.

I'm Four Months Old!

Thought I'd post some pictures of Caleb on his four month birthday! Matt caught him trying to roll over this morning in his crib...so he may be moving around faster then I anticipated! And yes, he does have scratches on his nose from his fingers...and yes, I do clip his nails but it doesn't seem to help. And yes, I am still very excited about Kaden's party tomorrow! :)

Learning to sit and a cowboy

Well, not to much exciting to write about today...except it's FRIDAY! Yeah! Not much planned for tomorrow but Sunday is Kaden's 3rd Birthday...yes, I said the same thing yesterday...I'm still really excited! :)
I snapped a couple of pictures of Caleb learning to sit up in his boppy pillow...he'll be four months old tomorrow! Not showing much interest in rolling yet, but I'm enjoying the imoble stage!
As for the doctor visit...eight viles of blood later I just have to wait a couple of weeks for some results...So we'll see.
Have a great Friday night!

Christmas Spirit pictures

I couldn't get the pictures to work with the other blog...so we're trying again...
