Kaden's 7th Birthday

A great father son birthday party...and they even let me come!
The big 7. Posing with his Star Wars Cake
Present time!

Kaden had two friends over for a Father Son Star Wars sleep over...ok the Father's didn't sleep over. But they did go to dinner and stay around for cake and presents. After that is was movie time! The boys had a great time and it was such a fun way to celebrate our little boy.

Our Kensington

Chocolate icing...need I say more

After school snack time is the best!
Just looking pretty in one of her Christmas Dresses
And now as a princess ballerina

Just wanted to put up a few pictures of Kensie so everyone can enjoy her as she grows. Hard to believe she is 20 months old! She has quite the personality and brings lots of added laughs to our family. Her favorite thing to say right now is, "Mooooore!" Love to you all!

Last couple of weeks

A gazebo in this little mountain town we like to visit.

Kensington just loves to quack at the ducks...the highlight of her day
Precious friendships that make us family
The precious Aquino Family
Trying to get everyone to pose at one time with the Air Force Academy in the background...we're two kids short...Baby was sleeping and Kaden was at school.

Outside the Air Force Cadet Chapel
Pointing to Matt's class year on the wall

Over the last couple of weeks we have been very blessed to have visits from some treasured friends. Firs,t the Aquino family came out to see us for a long weekend and we enjoyed football games, the zoo, mountain towns, and just being together. Such treasured memories and the time flew by way to fast.
A week later the Allan family came out to see us...and boy was it busy with seven little ones running around, but we were so blessed to have the time together that we did. We are so grateful for all the precious and sometimes stressful moments we get to hold onto forever.
We are so so thankful for the friendships that God has brought into our lives and feel so undeserving of the love that we are given! We miss you guys!
Life is slowly returning to "normal". Still busy but I'm working on making sure that I take the time to enjoy all the moments that each day holds. Have a blessed weekend~

Mom and Dad

The Boys Club at the Flying W Ranch
Playing Cowboys inside the Teepee
Just enjoying the evening
Caleb's happy smile
Kensington modeling the dress her Great-Grandma made for her
The kiddos
Three generations

We treasured every moment we had with mom and dad last week when they came out to visit. I of course didn't take near enough pictures but I was to busy just enjoying the time. :) It was such a precious thing to watch the kids, especially Kensie, really bond with my parents. Such a joy. Now I'm counting the days until next time!

Also new this week...

Kensie at the playground
Kaden's game plays

Caleb's action shots

Soccer games! We've got both boys in soccer this year and both are enjoying it so much. Caleb may be in it for the snacks but seems to like the running too. I love watching little kids run all over field without really knowing why. :) So cute.
Kaden is finding the game a little more competitive this year but is still having fun. Kensie occupies herself by running around all over the playground and we keep busy trying to keep an eye on her and the game at the same time!

First day of Pre-school

Not sure why he has a leaf in his hand, but he was just to excited! We were counting the minutes until it was time to go to school.
Waiting to go in by his backpack
First step into the world of academics :)

Caleb's first day of pre-school was Friday. He has been waiting for MONTHS for this day to come! So excited for him but it did make me a bit teary to watch him walk away without a backwards glance! He is so ready for this. We are so blessed that the Lord has provided a great little Christian pre-school and I am so excited to see how God is going to grow Caleb this next year.

This Morning...and other

Matching Mommy and Daughter...a FABULOUS birthday present!
This is how I have to do most of the cooking in the kitchen! She loves to hold onto my legs. I LOVE it!
Kaden's first day of first grade...this picture taken as we frantically ran out the door so we wouldn't be late! :)
Giving flowers to his new teacher
Showing his ships badge (they have a nautical theme this year) So excited...in fact he tells me at night, "I didn't think about you all day!" :)
Came home from a run and found Kensie decked out. Daddy likes to dress me up!
Pretty in Pink
Showing off her toy

Just a few pictures from this morning...the pink ones...and then a few from this week. Seems like this week wen't by quickly even with Kaden only having 3 days of school and then a break for testing. Next week will be the full 5 days. Just enjoying a slow weekend and the sounds of happy children playing!

Ashamed...but still here

Kensington looking the part at the Flying W Ranch
Sheriff Kensie locking up the outlaws
Walking through the Garden of the Gods
Precious Boys

I feel ashamed to even get on here and call myself a blogger. It has been so long since I've taken the time to get on here, but just wanted to pop in and say hello to anyone still out there! We have had a busy but blessed summer with family vacation and family visits and just being available for what God has for us day to day. Kaden starts school tomorrow so our world is about to get a lot more routine but we are looking forward to what God has planned for us...just going to take it one day at a time! Caleb starts pre-school in about 3 weeks and is ever so anxious to have his own school and friends! Kensington is 16 months old and quite the independent little girl. We fall more in love with her every day and are just so thrilled with all the little things she is learning to do...except for maybe playing in the potty!
Now I'd like to promise that I'll be more faithful to blog more often, but I will only promise to try! Have a great start to the school year everyone!

Boys Club

Boys club headquarters... the donut store
Lake Amistad
Nothing like throwing rocks in the lake
Hike through the desert

One of the things that Kaden and Caleb look forward to the most when seeing Papa is the "Boys Club". Papa started this on one trip to California, as just a special time for just the boys to get to go do cool boy things. The boys had several boy club meetings this time in Del Rio: donuts, picnic, hiking, ice cream, and more donuts. Here's just a couple shots of their time hiking around Lake Amistad and of course eating donuts. :) We miss you Papa!

Cousins...in matching pajamas

Riley and Kensington So happy!
They LOVED to bonk heads together

Time for a close up
Happy Girls!

I am so SO thankful for the time we got to spend in Del Rio and it was such a blast to watch these two cousins together. Admitadly, they weren't always the best of friends...Kensington tends to be quite the bully....but they did love each other, and especially loved bonking their heads together and giggling. :) Whatever makes you happy! I couldn't resist dressing them in their matching pajamas so we will have something to torture them with someday. :) Just love these pictures!
